Abstract

New records for the genera Codonocarpus (n = 14), Gyrostemon (n = 14) and Tersonia (n = 14) are given.

The base number for the family Gyrostemonaceae is shown to be x = 14: this is markedly different from that of the Phytolaccaceae sensu stricto (x = 9), in which it was once included.
