Azaindoles. II. The synthesis of Pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridines

Abstract

3-Hydroxy-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridine, 3-hydroxy-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazolo-[4,3-c]pyridine, 3-hydroxy-1-methyl-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridine, and their 5-oxides have been prepared for testing as tumour inhibitors. Lactam-lactim tautomerism in these compounds is discussed.
