The formation and decomposition of D2-triazolines derived from Bicyclo[2,2,1]-heptadienes

Abstract

The reactions of a series of bicyclo[2,2,1]heptadienes with phenyl azide have been examined and the resultant Δ²-triazolines (2) and (3) characterized. The photolysis of these latter compounds provides a convenient route to several exo- and endo-3-aza-tricyclooctenes (6) and (7).
