The synthesis of potential anti-tumour compounds

Abstract

2,2-Dimethylchromens containing a nitrogen function at C6 [compounds (6), (8), and (10)] have been synthesized from the appropriate chromanone by sodium borohydride reduction and dehydration of the resultant alcohol mixture with acid.
