Abstract
The isolation and structural determination of the lichen depsidones 4,8-dihydroxy-3-methoxy-11-oxo-1,6-dipentyl-11H- dibenzo[b,e][1,4]dioxepin-7-carboxylic acid (3) and 8-hydroxy-3,4- dimethoxy-11-oxo-1,6-dipentyl-11H-dibenzo[b,e][1,4]dioxepin-7- carboxy1ic acid (4) are described. These structures are supported by the synthesis of methyl 3,4,8-trimethoxy-11-oxo-1,6-dipentyl-11H- dibenzo[b,e] [1,4]dioxepin-7-carboxylate (5).https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9770599
