Studies in the tricyclooctane series. IV. A new and convenient synthesis of 3,3-Dihalo-cis-transoid-cis-tricyclo[5,1,0,0^2,4]oct-5-enes

Abstract

A simple and efficient synthesis of 3,3-dibromo- and 3,3-dichloro-cis- transoid-cis-tricyclo[5,1,0,0^2,4]-oct-5-ene (3a,b) (gem-dihalo-anti- bishomobenzenes) has been developed from bicyclo[4,1,0]hept-3-ene (9).
