Solvent Exchange on (N,N-Diethylformamide)-[2,2',2'-Tri(Dimethylamino)Triethyl-Amine]Nickel (II)

Abstract

A ¹H n.m.r . study yields k_ex(298.2K) = 944±42s^-1, ΔH^‡ = 23.1±0.7 kJ mol^-1 and ΔS^‡ = -111±2 JK^-1 mol^-1 for N,N- diethylformamide exchange [Ni(N(CH₂CH₂NMe₂)₃)-(OCHNEt₂)]²⁺. These data are compared with those of related species.
