Abstract
Four stereoisomerically pure lipids have been synthesized which contain chirally pure phytanol (obtained through resolution of a chiral amide) and chiral glycerol moieties. The lipids were obtained in 7–13% overall yield in eight steps from commercially available materials.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH99001
