The Breeding Ecology of Twelve Species of Diurnal Raptor in North-Western Victoria.

Abstract

Rabbits were the main food of 8 raptor species studied in Victoria, Australia, both in terms of numbers eaten (40-75%) and biomass consumed (60-92%). In 4 months the raptor guild consumed about 14% of the immature rabbits in the study area.
