Controlling the Fate of Midchain Radicals in Acrylate Polymerization

Thomas Junkers studied chemistry at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, where he worked for his Ph.D. thesis on laser single-pulse-initiated polymerization kinetics under the supervision of Michael Buback. In 2006, he joined the CAMD team at the University of New South Wales, where he focussed on novel controlled polymerization methods and mass spectrometric analysis of polymers. He is now a research staff member in the group of Christopher Barner-Kowollik at the University of Karlsruhe.
