Taxonomy, biogeography and evolution of plants

Scope

Australian Systematic Botany is an international journal devoted to the systematics, taxonomy, and related aspects of biogeography and evolution of all algae, fungi and plants, including fossils. Descriptive taxonomic papers should normally constitute a comprehensive treatment of a group. Short papers on individual species and nomenclatural papers must contain significant new information of broader interest to be considered. As well as original research papers, the journal publishes Reviews that critically summarise relevant work in a specific field and indicate fruitful lines of further research, Viewpoint papers that present a novel view or opinion on a topical issue of current international concern, Notes and Resources papers detailing new research methods, infrastructure and equipment, data resources or short survey results, and Comments on papers published in the journal within the last 12 months. The prestigious L.A.S. Johnson Review Series is published. Other review articles will also be considered. All papers are peer reviewed.
