This CD-ROM contains an interactive identification system for native and introduced molluscan species living in estuarine and freshwater environments in New South Wales, Australia. It can also be used to identify many species in the similar faunas of eastern Victoria and southern Queensland. It is the first fully illustrated, interactive key to molluscs, an important group that includes gastropods (snails, slugs, limpets), bivalves (clams, cockles, oysters) and cephalopods (squids, octopuses).
Freshwater and Estuarine Molluscs is an easy-to-use, interactive key run by the Intkey program. The information provided is based on the literature, the personal experience of the authors and the extensive collections in the Australian Museum.
The package is designed for use by researchers, environmentalists, environmental managers, teachers and students interested in identifying and obtaining information about native and introduced estuarine and freshwater molluscs.
