Subsoil Constraints to Grain Cropping

Australian Journal of Soil Research
Special Issue Volume 48 Number 2

95 pages
Publisher: CSIRO PUBLISHING

Paperback - 2010
Code: SR48/02 - AU $ 75.00

Many of the soils used to grow grain in Australia contain in their subsoil layers a range of factors that limit or constrain crop growth and yield. The papers in this special issue present some of the findings of the ‘Combating Subsoil Constraints Initiative’ of the Grains Research and Development Corporation. The work presented will contribute to the development of optimal farm management practices leading to increased productivity from sustainable grain production systems.
