This Special Issue brings together a collection of papers that demonstrates the scope of human–wildlife conflicts worldwide. The papers highlight the insights than can be gained from taking an interdisciplinary approach across the natural and social sciences. They show that effective conflict management frequently depends on the integration of traditional approaches with novel ones, both in terms of technical solutions and new ways of working with stakeholders.
