Gavin DJ Harper

160 pages
Publisher: Crowood Press, UK

Paperback - 2011
ISBN: 9781847972101 - AU $ 42.95

This comprehensive book presents a thorough analysis of the wind turbine technology that is suitable for use on a small scale and presents an overview of the process of installation. Covering both small-scale on- and off-grid installations, Small-Scale Wind Power Generation is essential reading for all those wanting to use wind power to produce clean energy: it will help them to understand the nature of the wind in their area, to appraise potential sites and to assess the likely capacity of any wind power turbines that are installed.

The authors also discuss the computer software that is suitable for predicting the likely financial benefits and provide valuable information about how to assess the economic viability of wind installation and how to calculate the resultant carbon savings.

He has worked for several years in the field of sustainable buildings and renewable energy, and has contributed to a number of reports in this area.
