Successfully antiretroviral treatment for HIV has greatly increased the life expectancy of individuals with HIV. As a result, their optimal management is now more complex and involves many different organ systems that require complex chronic disease management principles. The objective of this special issue is to provide a series of review articles that address this developing area.
