Description
This volume is the second part of Professor Womersleys treatment of the red algae in the same format used for the seagrasses, Chlorophyta and Charophyta (1984), for the Phaeophyta and Chrysophyta (1987), and the first part of Rhodophyta (1994). Four orders, 9 families, 53 genera and 122 species are described, with keys for their identification, their distribution, full Australian synonymies, typification, and references to other major literature.
