Abstract

Research shows that significant improvements in a child’s health, education and welfare can be sustained when early intervention and support services are provided. This article describes Families First, a strategy sponsored by the NSW Government to re-shape and develop prevention and early intervention services, which help parents and communities sustain their children’s health and wellbeing in the long term.
