Abstract

There is no comprehensive source of information describing work-related fatalities in any Australian state or territory. Information for NSW is available from WorkCover NSW but this information is based heavily on workers’ compensation data. Significant groups within the population, and particular types of injury, are excluded from the available data, either by design or practice.
