Apart from persistent high numbers of cases of gonorrhoea reported from South Eastern Sydney (mostly related to an outbreak among inner-city gay men, see earlier editions of the Bulletin), case reports of most seasonal notifiable diseases generally were unremarkable (Figure 3).
