Myclobutanil resistance in an isolate of Venturia inaequalis from New South Wales

S. D. Hetherington and D. A. Gunning

Australasian Plant Pathology 32(1) 121 - 122

Abstract

An isolate of Venturia inaequalis from the Orange region of New South Wales had an ED50 of 0.97 μg/mL for the fungicide myclobutanil. The ED50 indicative of resistance to this fungicide is ≥  0.1 μg/mL. This is the first record in Australia of V. inaequalis resistant to a Demethylation Inhibitor (DMI) fungicide.
