Abstract

Uromyces alstroemeriae (Diet.) P. Henn. is recorded for the first time in Argentina causing rust on commercial hybrids of Alstroemeria spp. and on native Alstroemeria psittacina. A. psittacina is a new host for this pathogen. Disease symptoms and the pathogen are described.
