Books & CDs

CSIRO PUBLISHING produces approximately 50 new scientific and technical books each year and maintains a backlist of over 1,200 titles.

Our internationally recognised publishing program covers a wide range of subject areas, including agriculture, aquatic science, the plant and animal sciences, forestry, environmental science and natural history.

A growing number of books are now available digitally and can be purchased from us as hosted Collections by our library customers.  Individual eBooks can be purchased as downloads for personal use from our retail partners eBooks.com, Dymocks Digital, Kobo, and Amazon´s Kindle store.

If you are considering writing a book or you have a contract with us, you will find our Information for Authors of interest and may wish to contact our Publishing Director.

In addition to our own publishing program, we distribute publications from numerous Australian and international Publishing Partners.
