Abstract

Crystal-packing data for a 17-membered ring NO₄ dibenzo macrocycle shows interesting curvature complementarity, which is ascribed to intermolecular C–H^…O and C–H^…π interactions in contrast to a related 22-membered ring N₂O₄ dibenzo macrocycle which shows regular layer packing.
