Abstract
The platinum(II) complex K[PtMe2
{(pz)3BH-N,N′}]
reacts with SnCl2Me2 to form
Pt(SnClMe2)Me2-
{(pz)3BH-N,N′
,N″}
([(pz)3BH]–=tris(pyrazol-1-yl)borate).
The closely related complex
Pt(SnMe3)Me2- {
(pz)3BH-N,N′
,N″ } has distorted octahedral geometry for
platinum with Pt–Sn 2·5727(8) Å . The Pt–N distance
trans to the SnMe3 group
[2·237(7) Å] is longer than those
trans to the Me groups [2·127(7) and
2·131(6) Å], indicating for the trimethylstannyl group a
trans influence which is higher than that for the methyl
group.
