The Purves Environmental Fund was set up in 2004 by Robert Purves AM, a businessman and environmentalist. Robert is passionate about developing solutions to critical environmental issues. He established the Fund with a mission to advance, primarily through education, environmental sustainability and preservation of biodiversity.
The Purves Environmental Fund is delighted to support the On Borrowed Time learning resource. The resource draws material from David Lindenmayer's book On Borrowed Time, which deals with the issue of catastrophic biodiversity loss. We believe that education plays a central role in creating the necessary conditions for environmental solutions to be generated. We hope that this resource will provide a valuable learning opportunity for students. Above all, we hope it will help to further understanding and inspire students to participate in shaping an environmentally sustainable future.
