Abstract

The unstable compounds dichlorotetracarbonyltungsten(II) and dibromo- tetracarbonyltungsten(II) have been prepared but not isolated in a pure state. The π-bonding ligands triphenylphosphine, triphenylarsine, and triphenylstibine have been used to prepare a series of moderately stable derivatives.
