Abstract

Bis[di(2-pyridyl)aminato]palladium(II) and bis[1,3-di(2?-pyridyl)-2,3- diazaprop-1-enato]nickel(II) are cabaple of acting as nucleophiles: the former has been benzoylated and the latter has been methylated, ethylated, benzylated, benzoylated, and treated with benzenediazonium fluoroborate to yield in each case related complexes of the variously substituted ligands.
