Identification and Development of the Nestling Cuckoos, Chrysoccyx-Basalis and Clucidus-Plagosus, in Western-Australia

Abstract

Criteria for distinguishing between the nestlings of the cuckoos, Chrysococcyx basalis and C. lucidus plagosus, are presented. Aging parameters based on three body measurements are given. The development of the feather tracts is outlined.
