The issues influencing community health services and primary health care

General Information

The Australian Journal of Primary Health aims to provide its readers with information on issues influencing community health services and primary health care and on integrating theory and practice, utilising perspectives from a range of disciplines.

When preparing a paper for publication, please follow style as closely as possible. It may help to consult a recent copy. Detailed guidelines are set out in the Author Instructions.

The Australian Journal of Primary Health is published six times a year. Material will be considered for publication on the understanding that it is original and unpublished work and has not been submitted for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should be of a publishable standard; they are subject to peer-review and the Editors reserve the right not to publish any material. Authors are responsible for all statements made in the material.

Papers accepted for publication become the copyright of the Journal but release for publication elsewhere can be applied for on the understanding that acknowledgement is made to the journal.

Reprints can be ordered prior to publication. An order form is sent to the corresponding author with final page proofs. CSIRO Publishing supplies the corresponding authors with a free PDF of their paper upon publication. Authors may also order hardcopy reprints of their papers at the time they complete author corrections. Authors may create links to their papers from their personal webpages. This file can be used to:

  • send to individual colleagues for non-commercial purposes
  • print out and distribute to colleagues attending any conference presentation you make
  • include in a course pack, subject to the usual copyright licensing agency arrangements.

However, the PDF may not be included on any website or on any server, including an institutional repository without prior approval. Please contact the Rights & Permissions Manager at if you wish to use the PDF for any purpose other than those listed above.

All papers are also available from our website either by subscription or sale of individual papers.

The journal is indexed/abstracted in a wide variety of databases.

To submit your paper, please use our online journal management system ScholarOne Manuscripts, or contact the Editors.
