About

Entrants in the 2003 contest were asked to 'vote' for one of four innovative CSIRO scientists they would most like to interview. The work of these scientists is both fascinating and important for Australia. You can check out the scientists in our Profiles section. We also asked for two questions that entrants would like to ask the scientist. One young person was selected, and travelled to interview the scientist in July as the science reporter in a Totally Wild story. The interview went to air in National Science Week, on Tuesday 19 August 2003.

Science Reporter for a Day was a CSIRO project for National Science Week, supported by the Commonwealth Departments of Education, Science and Training and Industry, Tourism and Resources; and the Network Ten.
