Abstract

First-passage, isolated roots of subterranean clover (Trifolium 8ubterraneum L.) were cultured in a basal medium of macro- and micronutrient salts and sucrose at pH 5·5. Effects of additives to this basal medium on growth rate and growth pattern of these roots and survival and growth of subcultures have been investigated
