Studies on the Microbial Colonization of Sapwood of Pruned Apricot Trees

Abstract

The colonization by microorganisms of apricot sapwood exposed by winter pruning was investigated. The number of microorganisms isolated increased rapidly, reaching a peak 12 days after pruning unsheltered trees and 15 days after pruning trees under a rain-proof shelter.
