Abstract

In three experiments done in one natural population over an 18-month period, D. buzzatii showed differential attraction to five yeast strains isolated from rotting Opuntia inermis, but the relative attractiveness of the yeasts was not the same in all experiments. There were indi~tions that these changes in attractiveness could be related to the relative frequencies of the yeasts in natural rots at the time of each experiment.
