The chlorenchyma of some members of the Salicornieae (Chenopodiaceae).

Abstract

Thirty-three taxa belonging to the tribe Salicornieae have been examined for δ¹³C ratios, and the anatomy of 19 of these taxa has also been examined. The results indicate that only the Halosarcia indica group has δ¹³C ratios and anatomy consistent with a C, photosynthetic pathway.
