Abstract

Tandonella oleariae sp. nov. is introduced for a synnematous hyphomycete associated with chlorotic lesions on leaves of some Olearia species. It is described, illustrated and distinguished from T. ziziphi, the type species, by conidial size and morphology of the synnemata. Tandonella and Sclerographiopsis are maintained as distinct genera based mainly on differences in behaviour of the conidiogenous cells during production of conidia. The generic criteria of both genera are amended.
