An Investigation of Interference and Resonance Asymmetry Effects in the Theory of Neutron Absorption in Reactors

Abstract

The nuclear effects that lead to asynunetric behaviour of neutron resonancecross sections are investigated and general expressions for cross sections developed.These are shown to be of a form suitable for calculation of escape probabilities,and the functions that arise from them are tabulated.
