De-excitation Gamma-ray Technique for Improved Resolution in Intermediate Energy Photonuclear Reactions

Abstract

Use of residual-state decay γ-rays could be a powerful tool in the study of photonuclear reactions. The practicality of this technique in a tagged-photon experiment is demonstrated for the first time with data on the ¹²C(γ,p) reaction.
