Abstract
The year 2000 was an excellent year for oil and gas production in Australia, with both high oil prices and record crude and condensate production. Whilst there were no significant new developments brought online in 2000, there were major redevelopments of existing assets and the startup of the Eastern Gas Pipeline between Longford and Sydney. Unfortunately, safety has not improved, with both Lost Time and Total Reportable Incident Frequency rates increasing from 1999.https://doi.org/10.1071/AJ00053
