Abstract

When administered by the intravaginal route oestrone, oestradiol-3,l7 fl, and oestriol have a mutually antagonistic action on the vaginal response of the ovariectomized mouse. Using the subcutaneous route, these oestrogens are found to have an additive action, behaving simply as dilutions of one active substance.
