Abstract

The Australian Gomphomacromiinae are revised. Thirteen species are recognized in seven genera, including three species which are described as new: Archaeophya magnifica, Austrocordulia territoria and Micromidia convergens. The males of Archaeophya adamsi Fraser and Austrophya mystica Tillyard, and the females of Pseudocordulia circularis Tillyard and P. elliptica Tillyard, are described, and further details are given for other species. A lectotype is designated for Austrocordulia refracta Tillyard. The genera and species are keyed.
