A Revision of the Australian Crocinae (Neuroptera: Nemopteridae)

Abstract

The Australian Crocinae (Neuroptera : Nemopteridae) are revised. A new genus, Carnarviana, and three new species, Carnarviana cretata, C. janthorum and Austrocroce occidens, are described. The larvae of C. cretata, C. janthorum and Austrocroce mira (McKeown), and their habitats, are described. A key is provided for the two genera and six species now known from Australia, and taxonomic and distributional data are given for each.
