Abstract

There were 92,781 births to 91,315 women reported in 2006 (Table 1). This represents a 2.4 per cent increase in births compared to 2005, and a 8.4 per cent increase compared to 2004. The number of multiple (twin and triplet) pregnancies has remained stable compared to 2002.
