Improving prescribing for pain: Guidelines for general practitioners prescribing for migraine and low back pain

Karen Kaye and Wendy Rotem

New South Wales Public Health Bulletin 10(6) 61 - 62
Published: 1999

Abstract

This report describes two new guidelines for general practitioners (GPs), aimed at improving prescribing for pain associated with migraine and low back pain, which have been distributed recently in NSW. Both guidelines were prepared by the NSW Therapeutic Assessment Group (NSW TAG), with a grant from the NSW Department of Health, in response to a need for better information on the prescribing of opioids.
