Abstract

Nine new endemic Australian species are described inEriocaulon as E. athertonense,E. carpentariae, E. clarksonii,E. inapertum, E. nematophyllum,E. odontospermum, E. patericola,E. scullioni and E. tricornum.Lectotypification and clarification of application of the nameE. depressum R.Br. ex Sm. is provided andE. arfakense Royen cited as a new synonym.Eriocaulon brunonis Britten is lectotypified and thetaxon suggested as of hybrid origin involvingE. spectabile F.Muell.Eriocaulon graphitinum F.Muell. & Tate ex Ewart & Cookson is lectotypified and established as a synonym ofE. pygmaeum Sol. ex Sm. Lectotypes are chosen forE. deustum R.Br., E. depressumR.Br., E. heterogynum F.Muell.,E. pygmaeum Sol. ex Sm. andE. scariosum R.Br.
