Polystigma sonneratiae causing leaf spots on the mangrove genus Sonneratia

Abstract

Polystigma sonneratiae Petrak, which causes purple spots on leaves and petioles of Sonneratia spp., was recently collected in north Queensland. The fungus is illustrated for the first time, with light micrographs, and the Rhodosticta-like anamorph is described.
