The use of a copper thiourea reagent for the determination of exchangeable basic cations in soils

Abstract
A procedure for the rapid determination of basic exchangeable cations in soils that uses the copper(1) complex with thiourea is described and tested. The results obtained compared favourably with values obtained by displacement of cations with pH 8.5, 1M NH4Cl and 0.01 M silver thiourea.https://doi.org/10.1071/SR9890117
