About ConnectSci
ConnectSci: your destination for trusted science content
In October 2025, we will launch our new digital content website ConnectSci, bringing together science news, peer-reviewed journals and eBooks.
ConnectSci will be a destination for trusted science content, still powered by the same editorially independent team of publishing professionals at CSIRO Publishing and maintaining our rigorous standards around research integrity and publication ethics.
The website has been developed with our new platform partner Silverchair. As the leading independent platform partner for scholarly and professional publishers, with over 30 years at the forefront of publishing technology, Silverchair offers a future-ready platform with new functionality designed to provide an enhanced user experience.
Uniquely, ConnectSci will be a comprehensive science destination site based in Australia designed for researchers, professionals, educators, students, and science-interested readers. It will prioritise accessibility, discoverability and advanced technology solutions which will position us to deliver an exceptional user experience. The platform tools will allow us to better curate collections for libraries and service our authors and readers with innovative content tools.
The transition to ConnectSci will represent an exciting new chapter, positioning us to keep pace with increasing demands of authors, institutions and readers.
With any platform change, there will be questions, so we have curated some frequently asked questions (FAQs) as a starting point, which we will update regularly:
FAQs
1. Why are you creating a new platform?
ConnectSci will bring together trusted, editorially independent science news, peer-reviewed journals and eBooks on one accessible, flexible and discoverable site.
