Marine and Freshwater Research – Best Student Paper Award
The Editorial Board of Marine and Freshwater Research is pleased to offer an annual Student Prize for the best student-authored paper published in the journal.
About the Award
This award recognises excellence in aquatic science research conducted by students and published in Marine and Freshwater Research. It aims to encourage and celebrate the contributions of early-career researchers to the fields of marine and freshwater science.
Prize
- A one-year personal online subscription to Marine and Freshwater Research
- A $250 book voucher from CSIRO Publishing
Eligibility
To be eligible for the award:
- The student must be the lead author of the paper.
- The paper must be submitted while the student is enrolled in a higher degree, or within two years of graduating.
- The research must have been completed as part of the student’s higher degree.
- You must identify your paper as eligible when you submit your manuscript via ScholarOne.
Selection Process
All eligible papers will be reviewed by the Editorial Board. The winner will be selected based on the quality, originality, and impact of the research.
Announcement
The winner of the award will be announced annually and promoted through CSIRO Publishing channels.
The inaugural winner of this award will be announced in 2027 to allow time for nominations.
