Abstract

Cationic dithiocarbamato complexes of the type [Cu(dtc)2]X, [Fe(dtc)a]X3 and [Ni(dtc)3]X (where dtc refers to the dithiocarbamate ligand and X to the non-coordinating anions perchlorate and tetrachloroferrate(111)) which function as uni-univalent electrolytes in nitrobenzene, have been prepared by the reaction of iron(111) chloride and iron(111) perchlorats with copper(11), iron(111), and nickel(11) dithiocarbamates and copper(11) perchlorate with copper(11) dithiocarbamates. Magnetic susceptibility, N.M.R., Mössbauer, infrared, and visible-ultraviolet spectral data are reported for these complexes.
